1. Requirements

Admin access to an Okta org

2. Supported Features

Service Provider (SP)-Initiated Authentication (SSO) Flow - this authentication flow occurs when the user attempts to log in to the application from Gumband.

3. Configuration Steps

  1. In Okta, Go to Applications → Browse App Catalog, and search and add Gumband.

  2. Assign the users or groups that should be able to log into Gumband.

  3. Go to the Gumband App → Sign On tab and note of the Client ID and Client Secret.

  4. Contact support@gumband.com with the following information:

  • Okta URL Subdomain and Domain (looks like acme.okta.com)

  • Client ID

  • Client Secret

 

4. Logging Into Gumband Using Okta

 

Once the Otka SSO is setup, users of Gumband can login as usual:

  1. Go to the gumband homepage at gumband

  2. click on ‘Sign in with Okta’

  3. Enter your okta org name (it is the first part of the url of your org, ex. acme.okta.com)

  4. Login with Okta

Note: Users not yet added to the Gumband App will see a “No workspaces” page after logging in. To add users to workspace, a Gumband user with Manager permissions can add the user to a workspace by inviting their email address through the Users tab on that workspace with the desired permissions. Please email support@gumband.com if there is no user in available in your organization with Manager permissions.
